PGER is a private organization located in British Columbia, centered on rehabilitating neglected, abused and unwanted horses. PGER is an alternative to the uncertainty of auction, ensuring horses are placed into approved, loving homes. They are also a certified S.P.C.A. facility for horses.

PGER acquires horses through various ways. Some are given to them when their owners are no longer able to care for them. (ie. changes in their financial situations, a relocation that does not enable them to have horses, the horse is not suited to their level of experience etc.) They understand that there can be several different reasons a person is no longer able to keep their horse(s), therefore, they do not judge anyone who surrenders their animals to their facility. Also horses that would otherwise go for meat at area auctions are acquired by PGER.
