He has been started on a barrel pattern and shows great consistancy and rate. Very level minded, walking into the area and not caring about whatever is going on around him.(He is now starting to lope a pattern, so smooth, he is so confident) He has started working cattle and has shown great interest as well as quick ability, and smooth work. I had taken to a local team sorting series last summer, I rode both him and another mare and placed third in the series. He sits and spins with ease. Neck reins and uses leg pressure. Opens gates, and doors without hesitation. He has his hind end under him, and great flex. I really enjoy riding this colt. He has a great mind, I can ride with my two year old son with me in the saddle and lead him around with him on, and would expect anyone could get on him with his easy going personality and exceptional mind. I have rode Avid in only a halter, as well as bareback, and he works just as well. I have drug a large logs behind me and he just pulled, from both sides. I have carried the barrels around the arena while on him to set up for practice runs. I have owned Avid since he was a weanling and he has aways been quiet, easy to trim, load, trailer, deworm, and anything I ask him to do. Can email more pictures or videos upon request.
