2002 APHA Bay Tovero Stallion. “Ace” has it all... Colour, conformation, athletic ability, cow sense and a pedigree to back it up. "Ace" is an own son of Smokes Dude (NRCHA Supreme Reined Cowhorse, APHA World Champion Cowhorse). Smokes Dude's dam was also an NRCHA Supreme Reined Cowhorse sired by Mr Gunsmoke. Ace is out of the good sorrel overo mare "Destined to Power" (ROM's in Heading and Heeling and placed 5th and 6th at the 1998 World Show in those same events). All of her offspring have been athletic, cowy horses. Ace's full sister has 192 APHA open points and that includes her superiors in heading and heeling and ROM's in tie down roping, steer stopping as well as points in working cowhorse. She is currently running 1D barrel racing times in Kansas. Destined to Power's sire - Mr Power Play was an APHA Supreme Champion having earned 4 superiors in western pleasure, halter, HUS and Trail as well as 8 ROM's in heading, heeling, barrel racing, pole bending and the previously listed events. His full sister has over 200 pts in roping events and is currently running 1D barrel times in Oklahoma.

Ace is displaying some of that Mr Power Play versatility and has APHA points in reining (won his reining class all 4 times he was shown), western pleasure, trail, pole bending and barrel racing. He is currently running about 1 - 1.4 seconds off Pro Rodeo horses in barrels in his first season ridden and trained by an amateur barrel racer. He has also been started on breakaway roping this fall and gets a real kick out of it and is catching on quickly.

He is extremely athletic with a playful easygoing temperament. Western and English riders alike comment on his beautiful movement. Acts like a gelding in big crowds of horses but is getting the job done in the breeding pen. His first foals are all fillies and all have gorgeous color even out of two solid bay mares. They have incredibly sweet personalities and he has passed on his beautiful head to all of them.
